Twenty students from Third, Fifth and Sixth years in the Presentation Secondary School in Clonmel are involved in the Sky Sports Living for Sport programme.

This programme develops self-esteem, self-worth, attitudes to health and well-being, attitudes to learning and improving attainment and is delivered through a series of weekly sports activities. The programme was organised by PE teacher Mrs Bourke in conjunction with Dermot Gascoyne, Sky Sports ambassador.

At a workshop the students listened to three special guests speak about their individual career paths, followed by a series of team-building exercises. Thomas Barr, Irish 400m Hurdles champion; Jessie Barr, who represented Ireland in the 4x400m relay at the London Olympics and Craig Breen, World Rally champion worked with the group and gave a talk to all students involved in lunchtime activities, a session that was attended by over 200 students.
