The man arrested in connection with the death of 52 year-old Cashel truck driver and DJ Bobby Ryan last week has been released from Garda custody and a file is being prepared for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The man, aged in his late 40s, was arrested last Wednesday morning, June 17 and was detained for questioning at Tipperary Garda Station under Section 4 of the 1984 Criminal Justice Act. A Garda spokesman said the man was released the following day without charge and a file is to be sent to the DPP for a decision on whether a prosecution should be pursued.
Mr Ryan’s body was discovered in a disused slurry pit on a farm at Fawnagown near Tipperary Town on April 30, 2013.
The father-of-two was last seen at Fawnagown, Tipperary on June 3, 2011 at approximately 6.30am and was reported missing on that date.
