Two South Tipperary housing schemes have been shortlisted for national housing design awards.
The Inis Housing Association in Monard and South Tipperary County Council’s housing scheme in Ballyporeen are among 16 housing projects in the running for honours in the upcoming Allianz Housing Awards.
The aim of the Community Housing Awards is to encourage, recognise and reward excellence in the provision of social housing and showcase how innovative design and management can create a positive impact on the lives of tenants and the wider community.
This year over 30 entries were received across eight categories including housing for older people, regeneration, housing for people with disabilities, collaboration initiatives, Traveller projects, family housing, homeless projects and innovative finance solutions.
The category winners and overall winner will be announced and presented with their awards at a gala dinner at the ICSH National Social Housing Conference in the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill on Wednesday, September 28.
