Drugs seized by Clonmel gardai

Gardai arrested a man aged in his late 20s last week following the seizure of around E10,000 worth of drugs found in a house in Clonmel.

An estimated E8,000 worth of prescription medicines along with about E2000 worth of suspected cannabis were seized during a search of a house at Boherduff Close, Clonmel last Wednesday afternoon, May 15.

The search of the property was a joint operation conducted by members of the Divisional Garda Drugs Unit, Customs & Excise officers and gardai based at Clonmel Garda Station.

The man arrested in relation to the haul of drugs was questioned by investigating gardai at Clonmel Garda Station. A file on the case is now being prepared for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
