The annual Mass at the Holy Year Cross on Cnoc a Chomortais, or Scrouthea Hill, overlooking Clonmel will be celebrated at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday, August 1st.
The annual Mass at the Holy Year Cross on Cnoc a Chomortais, or Scrouthea Hill, overlooking Clonmel will be celebrated at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday, August 1st.
The cross was erected 61 years ago and last year’s 60th anniversary celebrations included a feature on RTE television’s Nationwide programme.
As well as the celebration of the Mass it’s a day out for all the family, and an occasion enjoyed by young and old alike. Another large congregation is expected at the Mass next Monday.
