Breda & James Hayes from Lisnagaul, Bansha, held a two-day open garden event in June in aid of the South Tipperary Hospice to raise funds.

“The wonderful sum of €1700 was presented by Breda and her daughter Joan to Marie Harold Barry, representing the South Tipperary Hospice at the September meeting,” said Clare Feeney, Chairperson of the Tipperary & District Flower & Garden club.“This was a combined fund raiser to support the hospice and the World Flower Show that took place in the RDS, Dublin on June 18 to 22. The Tipperary Flower Club extends grateful appreciation to Breda and the Hayes family for their generosity and the work involved in organising this wonderful event.”The Tipperary & District Flower and Garden club meet once a month to hone their flower arranging skills with guest demonstrations. In their Junior Flower Club, they also encourage young people to create exhibits.
