Tests on-going for Bansha nurse

Fiona Power, the Bansha nurse who travelled to America for treatment of a rare brain tumour, is still undergoing tests at a clinic in Atlanta.

Fiona Power, the Bansha nurse who travelled to America for treatment of a rare brain tumour, is still undergoing tests at a clinic in Atlanta.

“The medical team at the clinic are still continuing with their investigations before they decide on what to do next,” said Margaret O’Connell,one of the organisers of the Fiona Fund which was set up to assist the Power family.

Margaret said that Fiona underwent tests last Friday and prior to that on the previous Monday and Tuesday she had a series of routine blood and other tes t s.

“We have heard nothing back from the family other than that Fiona is going along with all of the tests the team at the Emery clinic have arranged for her.The family have been in touch to tell us than that they are doing everything they can for Fiona at the clinic.The examinations and tests are on-going and hopefully by the end of the week we will know more,” said Margaret.
