The summer weather may be somewhat dismal but the Rotary Club of Clonmel is hoping to banish all those seasonal blues next Saturday, August 20, when the club holds its annual President’s Night.

The summer weather may be somewhat dismal but the Rotary Club of Clonmel is hoping to banish all those seasonal blues next Saturday, August 20, when the club holds its annual President’s Night.

New President Brian Sheerin has organised a Glam and Glitz night at Cluain Restaurant, Nelson Street.

It kicks off at 8pm and there will be Rat Pack-style music by Ronnie Costley, a cocktail and wine bar, exotic finger food, canapés and even a chocolate fountain.

It’s all included in the ticket price of €25 and there will be spot prizes and a door prize.

Rotary members, friends, and members of the public can all purchase tickets from Cluain (052-6125328) or O’Sullivan Insurances, Mitchel Street (052-6121644).

The dress code is bow ties for men and glitz for women, and all profits will go to Rotary charities.
