The Promoting Cahir Group’s Christmas Lights Appeal is currently under way in Cahir.
This past year the group in conjunction with Cahir Trader’s have organised events in the town. To date they have organised the Christmas Lights Appeal 2011, the St. Patricks Day Parade, the Cheltenham Challenge and also the much loved Fair of Cahir 2012. By all accounts of residents and traders alike, all were successful. As a result they have decided we will continue to run these events but, unfortunately, fundraising is part of the package.
As can be seen in the town, the Christmas Lights have been erected in Cahir since December 1 because, traders recognise the importance of the lights not only to business in town but also to residents’ morale during the Christmas season, especially post budget!
Traders have been sent letters appealing for donations towards the much needed lights and a representative of the group is out and about collecting much appreciated donations.
But as Christmas is almost upon us, they want to let you know that if the representative does not get the chance to call to you, that you can post/ drop in any donations to The Heritage in The Square in Cahir. Thank you.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all Cahir residents and traders alike, a most happy and healthy Christmas with your loved ones and a prosperous New Year too.
