St. Mary’s Parish Irishtown Clonmel

Welcome: We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St. Mary’s Esme Alice Cairns, Dromard and Seamus Meagan, Wood Road who were christened last weekend. Congratulations to parents David and Emma, Eddie and Sareen, godparents Noel and Mary, Dermot and Deirdre, grandparents and extended family.

Wedding bells: Congratulations to Padraic Roche, Mountain Road, and Sarah Johnson, Glenview Close and Glenoaks who were married in the Nire Church. We wish the young couple many years of married happiness and togetherness.

Parish Clerk’s Collection: The Annual collection for Parish Clerk Eddie Sweetman will be taken up at all Masses on the weekend of 18th/19th May.

Knock Pilgrimage: Our Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place this Sunday. You at home can be part of this pilgrimage by joining in prayer with the pilgrims who are travelling, particularly at 3pm when the concelebrated Mass and Anointing of the Sick takes place.

Sr. Margaret’s bus from Clonmel, organised by Ann King, travels to Knock on this Sunday also as part of the Parish and Diocesan Pilgrimage.

Year of Faith: A special ceremony and celebration to celebrate the Year of Faith is being organised at present. It will take place at St. Patrick’s Well on Sunday, June 30th at 3pm. It is part of a twofold Pastoral Area celebration- the other being the annual Mass at the Holy Year Cross. More details later.

St. Mary’s Church Choir

Do you like to sing? Well if so why not come along to St. Mary’s Boy’s School, Irishtown, on Thursday evenings at 8pm. When you arrive the members of St. Mary’s Church Choir will greet you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Practice is always held in a most convivial manner. So,if you are a soprano, alto, tenor or bass/baritone come along where you will be made most welcome. We look forward to meeting you. The Choir sings at 12 noon Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Irishtown on Sundays.
