It’s a pity after going to the cost of buying them that some were left to die.

However, it’s best to remove them and try again next year but its very encouraging to see the bundles of flowers around town and there will be stiff competition for the those who entered the Tidy Towns Local awards. Entry forms still available from the Enterprise Centre until the end of the month. Our church gate collection is on July 27 and 28 and we are asking people to support our cause as this is our main source of income for the year. Please keep Cahir Litter Free as we would hope to have made it for a second judging which could happen over the last two weeks in July. We meet as usual on Wednesday evening at 7pm. Finally we welcome baby Aoife Mai Smyth to our world. Congrats to mammy Sinead and Daddy Jamie. Sinead has been a stalwart of the group over the last few years and its only a matter of time before the new arrival will join her on the litter pick.
