It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Cashel library as events are starting to book up quickly! We have something for all ages this year from puppet shows to film nights.

Starting on Tuesday, December 10, we will have the first of our Christmas Workshops. In this workshop children will make a centrepiece for their Christmas table. This is suitable for children from seven years and will begin at 6.30pm for approximately one hour.

On December 12th we have a puppets show at 3.15pm this show is by Tony Galvin who has his show in Bunratty Castle’’s Winter Wonderland every year. We will also have special guests from the Cashel Pantomime Society “Jack and the Beanstalk” who will pop in to see the children. You can buy tickets for the upcoming show which takes place in January on the day from a committee member if you wish to do so.

The second of our workshops takes place on Saturday, December 14, from 11am. Children will make Christmas decorations for the Christmas Tree. This is suitable for children seven years and older. Tuesday, December 17 -lets go to the movies! Come along for our Christmas film night. The film will be suitable for all ages (the film will be confirmed nearer the time).

Wednesday, December 18, will be a busy day and night for the library staff as we will host our annual Coffee Morning from 11am with St John the Baptist Girls Choir adding a festive flair to the event as will the ever popular Thomas Grogan. A very talented mix for the morning so come along and enjoy a cuppa and mince pie with us.

On Wednesday night it is pyjama party time for children! This ever popular event will begin at 6.30pm. Enjoy stories of Santa and sing a long to your Christmas favourites! We will also have a special treat when the newly founded children’s choir from Boherlahan will join us to show off their talents under the supervision of Pauline Bargary.

Please note that events are bookable with the library on 06263856 or call into a member of staff.

All events are free and materials for workshops will be provided by the library
