Minister praises work of Tipp’s ‘Three Drives Family’ Centre

The Three Drives Family Resource Centre welcomed Dr. James Reilly TD, Minister for Children & Youth Affairs to launch the Partnership, Prevention & Family Support Network (PPFSN), for Tipperary Town.

The Three Drives Family Resource Centre welcomed Dr. James Reilly TD, Minister for Children & Youth Affairs to launch the Partnership, Prevention & Family Support Network (PPFSN), for Tipperary Town.

Dr. James Reilly TD, headed an impressive guest list at the Three Drives Family Resource Centre last week where he delivered a speech in support of the launch of the Centre as the location for the Partnership Prevention & Family Support Network.

Minister Reilly gave his seal of approval to the new direction in which the new Child & Family Agency were moving.

The Minister also welcomed the commitment made to support the work of the Three Drives FRC and made special reference to the work of the volunteers in the local community. Mr. Bill O’Dea, Services Director of Family Support Services of the Child & Family Agency congratulated the Three Drives for their work in the community and highlighted the guiding work of the Voluntary Board of Management and staff in the delivery of services to the community.

Local resident, Josie Kiely spoke to those present of her association with the centre over the past number of years and explained its benefit to the local community. I’ve been part of this community for forty years and it’s a community that still has the same care for its neighbours as it did when I was a child,“ said Josie. Josie’s speech made a huge impact and spoke directly to the Minister in relation to the needs of the centre and community.
