Students in Gaelcholáiste Chéitinn, Clonmel’s all-Irish second level school, achieved outstanding results in the Leaving Certificate examination, maintaining and even surpassing the very high standards set by the two previous Leaving Cert classes.

The students, through their achievements, working through the medium of Irish, brought great pride to their parents, teachers and the school and their success is an overwhelming endorsement of the school. Their results justify the faith that the parents of these students and South Tipperary VEC had in opening the school in September 2004.

20% of this year’s class achieved over 500 points, with 62% scoring over 400 points. 87% of them obtained As and Bs in higher level Irish. Almost 50% of the class did higher level Maths and were very successful. Many students reached the top grade in other subjects, ranging from Physics to English, Biology and French.

All the Gaelcholáiste Chéitinn students obtained their first preference for third level and will be studying Engineering, Primary Education and the Sciences in Trinity College Dublin, UCD and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and U.L.

Guímid rath mór ar gach dalta agus iad ag fágáil na scoile agus beidh fáilte agus céad rompu ar nais chugainn.
