Book launch:

A new book entitled 'Michel Mac Crthaigh - For-Ghael Thiobraid rann' is to be launched on Tuesday night next the 14th Dec. in Br Bor, Cashel at 7.30pm under the auspices of Conradh na Gaeilge. The book, which features lectures and addresses given by Michel over many years, has been compiled by Dnal Muirgheasa O.S., former Principal of Knockavilla N.S. and will be on sale at E10.

St. Vincent the Paul collection:

Knockavilla St.Vincent De Paul will hold their annual church gate collection at all masses in Knockavilla and Donaskeigh on next weekend the 11th and 12th of December. Please give generously to this very worthy and extremely important cause.

Card nights .

The card nights at the old courthouse in Dundrum are proving a great success and are continuing every Wednesday night from 7 to 9 pm.

Tidy Towns:

Great news for Dundrum Tidy Towns, South Tipperary County Council have given the village two awards, one for best new entry to the Tidy Towns competition and 3rd prize for the large Village category in the tidy towns. The committee is really delighted that the hard work by the volunteers and residents/business's over the last few years has been recognised. The awards night will be held in Bru Boru Cashel on Monday next, 13th December. Well done to all concerned.

Kickham GAA Club Notes.


The committee and membership of Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickham GAA club offer their sympathies to the families of the following who passed away in recent weeks. Aggie Cranley Station Road Dundrum, Stephen Ryan, Ballintemple, Martin Ryan Clonkelly, Johnny Baragry Ardobreen Golden.

Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickham GAA Club would like to sincerely thank all who supported their recent Sale of Work/Timber auction and free Family fun day in Dundrum which coincided with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the club.To our sponsors and those who supplied firewood, vouchers, plants, Bric a Brac, unwanted gifts, Baking, etc etc we say thank you all.

We also extend our gratitude To the Local Scout committee who gave us the use of their impressive facilities at the Scout Hall, Our auctioneer on the day Philip Ryan, Coillte teoranta for their assistance in obtaining extra firewood and to the local Fas Scheme workers who did so much to ensure that the day was a success and finally to all our own club members who gave freely of their time over the preceding weeks and on the day itself.
