Tribute to Tipp tidy towns winners

Fine Gael Councillor, Michael Murphy, has commended the efforts of Tidy Towns committees around South Tipperary as Emly took the award for South Tipperary’s tidiest town and National award of Ireland’s tidiest village with a fantastic score of 309 points.

Also in the County awards, the town of Clonmel was highly commended with a score of 298 points and the village of Kilsheelan being commended with a score of 293 points.

Welcoming the results, Cllr Murphy said - “I am glad to see the hard work of communities across South Tipperary has been recognised by this year’s Tidy Towns Competition. In my own hometown of Clonmel and surrounding areas such as Kilsheelan, Grange, Kilcash, Marlfield and Clerihan, I have seen first-hand the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm that goes into keeping our town looking cared-for and welcoming.”
