The Tidy Towns Group was delighted with the success of their ‘Take Me Out’ fundraising event which took place last Saturday night.
Over 240 people attended on the night so there was a great audience to watch the on stage proceedings. Participants were sceptical at first but once the event started, they all enjoyed it and played along. There were plenty of hits and misses during the entertaining evening and a couple of matches too!
Due to the success of the night which was organised to fund the Memorial Garden and Gussies Steps at the Dovecote, a date of May 19 has now been set to complete work. The hand railings for the steps will go up this week. 120 shrubs will be available to people who wish to remember a loved one in this special way and it will be on a first come, first served basis.
You do not have to be from the Cahir area to book a shrub, the first 120 names who book will receive a shrub and their loved ones name will also be included on the Memorial Plaque and all included for the reasonable price of €20. Call Andy 0863609110 to book your shrub.
Don’t forget you can follow the Group on Facebook at cahirtidytowns and check out all their updates and pictures too!
