Army chief confronted by families in Clonmel

The General OC of the Southern Brigade, Brigadier-General Paul Pakenham, was confronted by members of army families when he visited Kickham Barracks in Clonmel on Tuesday. Members of the Army Wives and Partners group were joined by local politicians to tell Brigadier-General Pakenham at their anger and frustration at the decision to the close the 350-year old army base in the town.
