A 5k Fun Run/Walk in aid of the Clogheen Hospice Suite Construction Fund will be held in Powerstown Park Racecourse, Clonmel at 7.30pm on this Friday, August 15.
Entries will be taken from 7 o’clock onwards. There will be an entry fee of €10 per family and €5 for adults.
There will be bouncing castles, music and refreshments for all the family, so everyone is welcome to come along and participate in a fun, non-competitive event and help raise funds for a very worthy cause.
A special medallion will be presented to all participants.
The event is being promoted by Clonmel Athletic Club in association with Boston Scientific.
Meanwhile, the Boston Scientific Half Marathon, which is building up to be a great sporting event, takes place in Clonmel on this Sunday, August 17 at 11am. Athletes are coming from England and Scotland as well as from Antrim. Galway and Dublin, while there is also a very strong presence from the host club Clonmel AC, Tipperary and neighbouring counties including Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny.
The race will start on the Clonmel Bypass, approx 1200 metres from the race headquarters at LIT Tipperary.
