Renewal and Responsibility

Empowering today’s Church for Ownership and Outreach. To commemorate the opening of the Council, the Dioceses of Ossory and Waterford and Lismore are offering an opportunity, over four gatherinsgs, to explore the responsibility we all have within our Church communities.

There is a growing awareness of the need for a great shift in our understanding of who we are as the people of God and how we fulfill our baptismal calling within the Church. Why not join us, therefore, as we explore this in St Patrick’s Parish Centre, Loughboy, Kilkenny on Monday evenings from 7-9pm. 17th September - with Richard Gaillardetz ‘We are the Church: how Vatican II gave the Church back to the people’. 24th September - Ethna Regan ‘The Church in The World: beyond hostility and shame to responsibility and hope’. 1st October - Sandra Cullen, A Teaching Church: our role in handing on faith’, and Saturday morning, 6th October = Liam Power, ‘Empowering all in decision’ from 10am to 1pm.
