Full Monty charity show
Carrick Relief is presenting a Full Monty show in aid of Carrick-on-Suir River Rescue in The Carraig Hotel this Saturday, March 30 from 8pm until late.
River Dance and many more popular acts will performing again due to popular demand.
The show will be followed by a disco. Come along to this evening of fun that will feature plenty of laugh out loud moments.
Holy Week retreat
A four-day Holy Week retreat takes place in Glencomeragh House Retreat Centre commencing with
supper on Wednesday at 6pm and finishing on Easter Sunday morning.
Praying the Gospel texts on the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus will be presented by Maurice McGill, MHM.
The next Blood Donor Clinic in Carrick-on-Suir will be in The Carraig Hotel on Tuesday, April 9 from 5pm to 8.30pm and on Wednesday, April 10 from 3pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm.
Carers Support Group monthly meeting
A representative of one of Carrick-on-Suir’s pharmacies gave an information talk to members of the town’s Carers Support Group at their monthly meeting.
Patrick O’Byrne MPSI from McCauley Chemists, Kickham Street spoke to carers about palliative care, common symptoms, syringe drivers, pain and analgesics.
He told them their own health is paramount as when the carer is healthy he or she is better able to care for others. He also emphasised the importance of people having their blood pressure checked regularly.
Following his presentation, Patrick took individual questions from the carers at the meeting. He said he was available at McCauley’s Chemists to deal with any personal query.
South Tipperary Carers Association Manager Richie Molloy thanked Patrick Byrne for attending the meeting.

Tributes to departing Council official
Tributes were paid at Carrick-on-Suir Town Council’s monthly meeting to Council official Joe McNamara, who has transferred to a new post at South Tipperary Co. Council.
Councillors sent best wishes to Joe who has been a most efficient and pleasant assistant Town Clerk during his time at Carrick-on-Suir Town Council.
Rathgormack card game
The monthly Progressive 25 Card Drive in aid of Rathgormack Community Hall takes place on Good Friday, March 29 at 8.45pm.
The January winners were Mick Prendergast and Gerry Carroll and February winners were Michael Maye and Seamus Sullivan.
Easter parks tennis will commence in Castleview Tennis Club in Carrick-on-Suir next week.
It will run from Tuesday, Apri 2 until Friday, April 5 from 10am to 1pm.
The camp is for children and young people aged beween six and 16 years old.
