A new shop building and drive-through and take away restaurant has been approved for Suirvale Service Station at Davis Road, Clonmel.

A new shop building and drive-through and take away restaurant has been approved for Suirvale Service Station at Davis Road, Clonmel.

The Borough Council has granted planning permission to Blueband Investments Ltd. to demolish the existing petrol filling station, underground fuel storage tanks and fuel pipelines, forecourt canopy and existing shop building, and construct a new retail shop building with 148,29 square metres of net retail floor space and ancillary offices, toilets and storeroom; and a restaurant building with a seating area and drive through and take away facility.

The construction of a new forecourt canopy (5.7 metres high), integrated into the shop building is also included, as is the installation of four 40,000 litre underground fuel storage tanks, eight fuel dispensing pumps, two totem signs, on site attenuation tanks and all ancillary site and landscaping development works, including modifications to the access to the site and layout of the public road.
