Coláiste Dun Iascaigh has announced details of its first Fun Cycle which will take place on Sunday, April 22, from 10am.
The cycle is to help raise funds for the development of sports facilities within the school.
The 60km route leaves the school grounds in Cahir at 10am visiting areas and towns that supply students to the school. It first visits Kilcoran then on to Burncourt, Clogheen, Goatenbridge, Newcastle, Ardfinnan and finally returning to Cahir.
Entry is allowed on the day of the cycle with registration from 9am to 9.45am. The cost for adults is €20 and students can enter by collecting money with sponsorship cards (you can contact the Coláiste on firstname.lastname@example.org to get these cards).
There will be refreshment stops on the route with further refreshments upon completion of the cycle at the school.
Support on the day will be provided by the Red Cross, The Gardaí, Pat Beary of Abbey Service will provide technical support and Denny Whelan Bus Hire will provide vehicles on the day to support cyclists.
