This Friday night November 9, a benefit dance will be held in Brian Boru, Main Street, Cashel, for Alan O’Dwyer from Bawnmore, Cashel who emigrated to Australia last year.

Eight weeks ago Alan was involved in a serious farm accident and is still in hospital and receiving constant medical attention.

He is the son of Pat (nee Mooney) and Pascal who are well known around Cashel for all their work on behalf of numerous groups.

A committee was formed three weeks ago to help raise funds and to try to alleviate some of the considerable cost incurred on Alan and the family.

The committee have been busy selling tickets and they have been getting a great response. While recognising the current tough economic climate they are asking the people of Cashel to give their continued support to make the event a success. Tickets are €5, doors open at nine and music is by the Bru Boys and special guests, a super night is guaranteed so come along and show your support.
