Sun shines on Cahir Family Day

The excited crowd cheer on the speedy pigs as they hurtle towards the finish line, at the Cahir GAA Field Day.
As usual, a fantastic display of novelty stands, sports events, GAA blitzes, an entertaining pig race and plenty of both savoury and sweet tasty foods available with teas or coffees on the day, the GAA Field Day turned out to be a lovely day out for all the family. Of course, the weather is paramount and though it was cloudy on occasion, the rain held off and the day stayed warm and dry to the enjoyment of all.

Fair play to the organisers as there was lots to see and do for everyone and most people stayed on site for the day. There was also musical entertainment on a stage with Clonmel based band ‘Against the Gravity’, Cahir Juvenile GAA Ballad Group who were tutored by Paula O’Regan, Johhny B and the fantastic dancers of Dance Revolution gave an impressive performance both on and off the stage too. Towards the end of the day, the Tug O’War attracted the crowd as the ‘Kilcoran Stags’ beat ‘The Village Inn’ in the Final.

Cahir GAA would like to thank all their advertisers and sponsors for their support, all the willing and hardworking volunteers who helped out on the day and of course all who came to the Field Day.
