Sean Treacy to be remembered at Kilfeacle ceremony

The 91st anniversary of Sean Treacy’s death in Talbot Street, Dublin killed in action against British Crown forces on October 14, 1920 will be commemorated on this Sunday, October 23 at 2 15 pm with mass in Kilfeacle Parish Church followed by the Commemoration Ceremonies at his grave in Kilfeacle Cemetery at 3 pm.

Tony Lane of Kinsale, Treasurer of the Kilmichael and Crossbarry Commemoration Committee, will deliver the oration. As usual the Sean Treacy Moycarkey Borris Pipe Band will head the parade to the cemetery. Sally Ryan, Chairperson of the Third Tipperary Brigade Old IRA Commemoration Committee, will preside at the ceremonies.
