Minister Alan Kelly has welcomed the news that JobBridge has created almost 600 jobs in Tipperary since 2011.
Speaking on the figures, Minister Kelly said - “According to figures I received from the Department of Social Protection, a total of 598 people in Tipperary have availed of the JobBridge National Internship Scheme since its launch in 2011.
“A recent evaluation of JobBridge by economic consultants Indecon showed that 61% of JobBridge interns progress to paid employment after finishing their internship.
“Going by these statistics, a total of 365 people in Tipperary should now have progressed to paid employment.
“These figures are very positive and shows how committed the Labour Party is to getting people back to work, and how successful the JobBridge Programme is.
