The Eucharistic Congress Bell is being brought around all the Dioceses of Ireland to create awareness of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress, which will be held in Dublin from June 11th-18th 2012. The bell will be in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore from December 27 to January 6.

The Eucharistic Congress Bell is being brought around all the Dioceses of Ireland to create awareness of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress, which will be held in Dublin from June 11th-18th 2012. The bell will be in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore from December 27 to January 6.

St. Mary’s is the host Church for the Congress Bell, which will be in the town from 10am on this Friday 30 until 2pm on New Year’s Eve.

Friday 30th December

10am Mass: Arrival of Bell at St. Mary’s with a service of welcome.

11.30am: Visit of Bell to Presentation Convent for Community Mass.

12.45pm: Transfer to Ss Peter and Paul’s for Mass at 1pm.

2.30pm: Return of Bell and Icons to St. Mary’s Church.

2.30pm-7pm: Exposition of Blessed Sacrament

7pm: Para liturgical Prayer Service.

New Year’s Eve

9.30am: Procession from St. Mary’s to Friary for 10am Mass.

11.30am: Procession from the Friary to Old St. Mary’s Church for short Liturgical Service.

12.45pm: Visit of Bell to South Tipp General Hospital-short service from Hospital Oratory.

12.45pm: Return to St. Mary’s

1pm: Liturgy of departure

2pm: Depart for Dungarvan.
