Hot on the heels of receiving the Irish Photographer of the Year Award, Clonmel-born Peter O’Donnell’s image of the Castleconnell riverbank has been shortlisted to the top three in The Federation of European Photographers (FEP) competition for European Fine Art Photograph of the Year.

The FEP is a network of 24 National Professional Photographers Associations from 21 European countries and is recognised by the EU (www.europeanphotographers.eu).

The award nomination is not only an honour for Peter, it is also a great honour for Irish photography to have an Irish Photographer recognised at such a very high level.

The finalists and winner will receive their awards at a ceremony in Brussels in June.

Peter is son of Bridget and Peter O’Donnell from Clerihan.
