Walk for Concern in the Knockmealdowns

The charity Concern has announced the first fundraising Four County Challenge Walk on Saturday, August 31, showcasing the Knockmealdown Mountains.

The charity Concern has announced the first fundraising Four County Challenge Walk on Saturday, August 31, showcasing the Knockmealdown Mountains.

The walk starts near The Vee at the beautiful corrie lake known as Baylough. The route meanders along the Avondhu Way taking in parts of Tipperary, Waterford and Cork.

The total distance is 33km. There will be an option to finish near Ballyporeen also in which case the distance is 24km. This walk is for everyone - from walkers of moderate fitness to mountain runners. For more information go to
