In the first year of the partnership, funds raised during allowed Aware to deliver its free secondary schools programme, Beat the Blues, to over 40,400 students in 569 schools across the country.

The charity was chosen as the Tesco Charity of the Year for 2012 and 2013. Since its inception in 2001, the Tesco Charity of the Year Programme has donated over €10 million to 8 Irish charities.
