Hallowe’en parties to help sick children

Dear Editor,

Dear Editor,

The little patients in Temple Street held their ‘spooktastic’ Halloween party in the hospital playroom at the weekend to launch the ‘Trick or Treat for Temple Street’ campaign. The hospital is asking the entire country to help them raise funds for the very special patients that it takes care of.

Dress up the little ones, don a costume of your own, brighten up everyone’s day at school – all that is asked is that you have a party and help sick children!

Your Halloween party can make miracles happen. It will help pay for crucial facilities and equipment in the hospital. This year the funds will go towards essential needs such as a parents room where staff can discuss a child’s prognosis with family members in privacy. The funds will also go towards providing facilities such as satellite classrooms on wards where children cannot access the main hospital school.
