ICA guild hear interesting talk on ‘Winter Health’

The Autumn meeting of South Tipperary ICA Federation was held on October 7, in Halla na Feile.

Federation President Peggy O’Brien was on the ICA stand at the Ploughing Championships where ICA held cookery demonstration, art and craft exhibitions and craft demonstrations. Guest speaker Niamh O’Sullivan from the Lloyds Pharmacy Clonmel spoke about ‘Winter Health’

Mrs. Anne Devitt presented the report on Dualla/Cashel Guild in which she spoke about the amalgamation of the Dualla and Cashel Guilds in 2001. Dualla Guild was founded in 1937 and the Cashel Guild was founded in 1941. The amalgamation of the two guilds has been a great success and tribute has to be paid to Hannah Kennedy for her role in steering the new guild. Also Hannah was highly commended for her baking at the Dualla Show baking Competition.

Peggy was pleased with the success of the ‘The Gathering 2013’ Garden Party in Dundrum House Hotel and congratulations to Helen O’Dwyer who won ‘The Most Appropriately Dressed Lady’ Competition.
