Last year’s highly acclaimed and immensely successful Busking Festival is set to return to Clonmel for an extended stay of four days, starting on Thursday, 9th August and running until Sunday, 12th.

Similar to last year buskers will take to the streets over the weekend, and once the sun goes down the music will move into the pubs of the town. Over 16 headline acts have now been confirmed, with a total of 60 gigs already pencilled in. As well as local talent, bands will be travelling from all over the country.

The full line-up will be announced soon and the organisers are confident that the festival has something for everyone. On Sunday, 12th an outdoor ceili will take place on the streets with the Matt Cunningham Ceili Band.

All the performances, indoors and outdoors, will be free of charge and donations will be accepted in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

Last year the festival raised a staggering €12,800 for the hospital and this year it’s hoped to surpass that amount.
