The book will feature full page pictures from 36 members. Books will be available to buy (prices later) and one will also be placed in the Library and Heritage Centre in Carrick-on- Suir.

Club members met in Portlaw National School last week and did a “paint with light” photo shoot where no flash was used. The pictures were taken in total darkness except for a small flash light shining on the object for a few moments.

It was rather a special occasion as former Club chairman Tom Grace celebrated a milestone birthday so a cake was produced by Margaret Lucas. The meeting ended with tea, coffee and refreshments.

Winners of the Photographer of the Year theme competition for February 18 “Fruit” were Beginners category Dympna Power, who snapped a bowl of fruit, Intermediate category Liam Walsh, who also photographed a bowl of fruit and Advanced category John O’Neill who did a stunning close up of a lemon slice with air bubbles.
