The Cahir Tidy Towns group had another very successful table quiz on Friday night last. Many thanks to all who attended and gave raffle prizes.

The Cahir Tidy Towns group had another very successful table quiz on Friday night last. Many thanks to all who attended and gave raffle prizes.

Thanks also to John Costigan for setting the questions and also to Hughie and Margaret and staff in the Shamrock for the donation of first prize and the splendid food on the
night.

We had 29 tables paid on the night so they are all entitled to a free hanging basket.

We would like to see every shop owner purchase one basket and these can be booked from any committee member for €20.

Congrats to the winners on the night.

Tidy Towns are also taking names for anyone wanting to plant a shrub in the memorial garden that will be created over the coming weeks, and all for the cost of the shrub that will be supplied on the day. This could be a place to remember a loved one who may not be buried in town and the names will be put on a plaque when complete.

This garden is a memorial to the late Gussy Morrissey, Town Foreman, who was a great friend to Tidy Towns. We will be landscaping the steps to the dovecote to create this garden, more details to follow but book your plot in the garden now as spaces are restricted.

We are also taking names for the “Take Me Out Cahir” event that we all hold in April. This will be a fun night and we need to choose 16 ladies from 18 to 80 and eight lads over 18.

If you need to order a basket for your premises or want a spot in the memorial garden you can contact Andy on 0863609110.
