Tickets are now on sale for the Damien Dempsey concert at The Clancy Brothers Music
and Arts Festival during the June Bank Holiday Weekend.
The acclaimed singer/songwriter is the festival’s headline act this year.
He will perform at Carrick-on-Suir’s The Strand Threatre on Friday night, May 31
Damien’s fans include Brian Eno, Sinéad O’Connor, Bob Dylan and U2. He has shared the bill with both Dylan and U2.
Another fan is Morrissey, who invited Damien to support him on his US tour.
The Dublin artists has won several prestigious Irish Meteor Awards including Best Irish Male and Best Traditional Folk Award.
His albums have topped the charts and gone Platinum, and he has been lauded by, among others, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Billboard, MOJO and The Sunday Times.
As well as performing at the Clancy Brothers Festival this summer, Damien will play venues like The Iveagh Gardens in Dublin and will support the legendary Bruce Springsteen in Nowlan Park in Kilkenny at the end of July.
