Cashel Civic Offices will not be left to stand empty, according to Junior Minister Tom Hayes.

“No decision has been made on what’s going in there but something will be going in there.”

His preference is for the building to be used for shared government services but not private use. It will not have a public office.

Minister Hayes has spoken to Minister Phil Hogan. “He will be asking the council to utilise an office that is only 15 years old. It would be crazy to close it.”
