A Cashel motorcyclist aged in his 50s was seriously injured in a traffic accident near Cahir last Thursday evening.
The motorbike he was travelling on was involved in a collision with a jeep and trailer on the old New Inn to Cahir Road at Kedrah around 8pm on August 13.
The injured man was brought by emergency services to South Tipperary General Hospital and later transferred to University Hospital Waterford due to the seriousness of his injuries.
The driver of the jeep, a Kilkenny man aged in his 50s, suffered from shock.
The section of road where the accident occurred was partially closed overnight and a Garda forensic collision investigator was called to examine the accident scene.
A Cahir Garda Station spokesman said the motorcyclist remains in a serious condition in University Hospital Waterford.
