There was a widespread joy at Rockwell College last Wednesday as the Leaving Certificate pupils joined over 50,000 pupils nationally in proudly celebrating their examination results.
The achievements were worth celebrating by the pupil cohort of 2014, who performed exceptionally well.
Almost 30% of the year group achieved over 500 points and all candidates were delighted with their results.
Congratulations in particular to Ciara McNulty from Fethard, and Eilish Rogers from Tipperary in exceeding 600 points.
There were strong results across all subjects, with the science subjects scoring highly and many subjects surpassing the national average grades.
For the pupils who were repeating their exams, the year proved very worthwhile with an average increase for the candidates of 80 points.
Principal Audrey O’Byrne and Deputy Principal Michael Doyle praised the success, commenting that the results were evidence of the commitment and strong work ethic demonstrated by the pupils during their time at the college.
