Support for Lions Club Golf Classic in Carrick

The annual Carrick-on-Suir & District Lions Club Golf Classic 26th - 29th June was a huge success with 65 teams competing supported with generous sponsorship. Presentation of prizes at Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club at the end of June marked the wind down of a hugely supported Carrick Lions Club Golf Classic.

The competition attracted 65 teams and generous sponsorship. Club Captain Michael Hassett said the Club was delighted to help raise funds which enabled the Lions members to carry out their ‘fantastic’ work in Carrick-on-Suir and District. Lions President Stephanie Keating thanked everyone for their commitment and praised the sponsors who helped make it a success. Anna Brett from Kentz Engineering, main sponsor, said the company was proud to support the Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club whose charitable legacy of events helped create an inclusive community. A cheque was also presented to Ross Cleary of the Clancy Festival in support of the festival family day.
