The, It’s A Long Way To Tipperary Festival commences from July 8 to July 12 with a massive programme of events for all ages and families to enjoy.
On Tuesday July 8, the festival opens at 7pm with Mass in The Plan, Limerick Road, to celebrate 100 years of O’Connell’s Road. O’ Connell Road is one of the oldest estates in Tipperary Town and a street party will take place with music by the C.J. Kickham Band and they will be joined by Tipperary Animation group in vintage dress.
The, It’s A Long Way to Tipperary festival runs alongside The Pride of Tipperary, which is celebrating its 50th year anniversary. On Wednesday, July 9 the popular charity penalty shootout with the Pride contestants, run by St. Michael’s Soccer Club and Tipperary Lions Club takes place at 7pm at Cooke Park.
The Long Way To Tipperary Festival Committee 2014 is pleased to announce their continued successful association with Tipperary Co-Op for this year’s programme of events.

The feature events are the Pride of Tipperary Gala dinner in Aherlow House on Thursday, July 10, the All Ireland Churn Rolling on the weekend of Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 and the Crowning of the Pride on the main street after the churn racing competition on Saturday. On Friday, July 11 there is a Food and Craft Fair in Tipperary Co-op Supervalu Car Park from 10am to 4pm with a diverse range of local Tipperary produce and craft.
