Cork Institute of Technology was a hive of excitement for all young athletes recently at the Munster Schools Cross-Country competition.
The Loreto, Clonmel Intermediate team all qualified for this stage of the competition after a hard course in WIT (Waterford Institute of Technology) at the East Munsters. All the girls were fully focused on doing well in this competition and have been training extremely hard. All their hard work paid off when they all ran excellently and finished first in the team event, just beating Ursuline Thurles in the last stage of the race, to be crowned Munster Champions.
All their focus is now on the All-Ireland Cross-Country competition in Galway on this Saturday, March 10th.
The team is Aofie Laste, Clare Horgan, Orlaith Moynihan, Megan O’Brien, Laura Tobin and Meadhb Moynihan.
