The Leaving Cert class of Carrick-on-Suir CBS Secondary School celebrated the end of their school days at their debs ball in Clonmel.
The ball took place in the Park Hotel at Poppyfields, Clonmel on Wednesday, August 6, a week before the school’s Class of 2014 received their Leaving Cert results.
Fifty-two young men and women dressed in their best tucker and glamorous ball gowns attended the function that included a three course meal and disco into the early hours of the next morning.
A bus ferried the CBS students and their guests from the school gates on the Pill Road in Carrick-on-Suir to the Park Hotel and brought them home again.
Our photographer Dennis Barry was on hand to snap some of the class members and their dates before their left Carrick-on-Suir for the celebration.
Willie Hahessy, one of the students involved in organisating the ball, said it was a great night for all the class and the last opportunity for them to get together before going their separate ways to college and the world of work.
