Carrick Library to host talk on Irish trees

A talk on native Irish trees and hedgerows will take place at Carrick-on-Suir Public Library on Wednesday, March 12.

The talk is being organised to celebrate National Tree week and will be given by Owen O’Shaughnessy and will start at 7pm.

The event is open to the public and free of charge.

Free trees will be distributed after the talk courtesy of Carrick-on-Suir Town Council’s gardener Evan Walsh, The Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte.

Light refreshments will be provided to those attending the talk.
