Clerihan man honoured to be elected to SFAI post

One of the founder members of Clerihan football club has been appointed to one of the highest positions in school soccer in the country.

John Early was elected as Vice Chairman of the SFAI(Schoolboys Football Association Ireland)at the AGM in Westport at the weekend.

He is the first person from the TSSDL to be ever elected to that position.He was elected by twenty eight votes to fourteen to the post for a two year term.

“I was delighted to be elected.I was involved in the foundation of Clerihan in 2001 and to be in this position at national level in such a short time is a great honour for the club and the league,” said John.

John was the TSSDL representative on the SFAI for the last six years and was the Munster reppresentative on the SFAI executive for the last two years.”
