Clonmel Men’s Shed has joined forces with a local supermarket to raise funds for charity. The group is to hold a charity auction in aid of Barretstown in association with Lidl Clonmel.

It will be held at Larry O’Keefffe’s, Davis Road, Clonmel on Sunday, May 11 at 2.30pm.

Funds raised will go to Barretstown, which is a serious fun camp helping to rebuild lives of those affected by childhood cancer..

Men’s Shed spokesman Joe O’Sullivan has asked for good support for the cause.

“This is a very worthy charity and we want to raise as much as we can” he said.

He is also appealing for items for the auction - donations of saleable services and items that are unwanted or surplus to requirements at home. “We are looking for artwork, machinery, silverware, furniture, musical instruments and toys - in fact anything we can sell”, said Mr O’Sullivan.

The contacts for donations are - David Holba, 083 1541896; Joe O’Sullivan, 086 2654577; George Kruze, 086 3773635; and Noel Fanning, 086 8239394.
