Clonmel ladies getting their locks off for charity

Helen Walsh from Willow Park and Ann Marie Crotty from Albert Street will have their hair shaved off for charity at the Clonmel Park Hotel on this Saturday evening, February 15.

The shave will support Today FM’s Shave or Dye, which raises money for cancer research.

“This event has a personal meaning for me because I had ovarian cancer in 1998”, says Helen Walsh. “I lost all my hair having undergone major surgery and chemotherapy. The results of research provided the medical knowledge that saved my life. Now it is time to pay back and it is also time to pay forward so that further research can help save more lives”.

The women will have their hair shaved between 7pm and 9pm by hairdresser Jerry Cronin of Bizaar. Everyone is welcome to come along and anyone wishing to make a donation should e-mail Helen Walsh at intoaction12@hotmail.com
