Members of the Rockwell College Class of 2002 travelled from as far away as Quatar and the Guernsey Islands to attend their 10 year reunion at the College in Cashel.
The reunions take place in the college each year and are organised through the Rockwell College Past Pupils Union.
This year’s reunion was attended by almost forty students from the Year. They attended mass in the College Chapel which was celebrated by Fr Brendan Hally and were given a tour of the new College facilities before attending a meal in the College Refectory.
A special toast was also held for two deceased members of the class of 2002 - Stephen McHugh (Annacarty) who passed away from cancer in 2003 and Stuart Mangan (Fermoy) who died after a serious rugby accident in England in 2009.
Stephen’s mother Maureen who is a teacher of Biology and Chemistry in the school attended the event as did Stuart Mangan’s parents Una and Brian.
A special message for the class from current principal Ms Audrey O’Bryne, who was unavoidably absent due to a prior engagement, was also read out by one of the organisers Barry Scannell. Best wishes were also sent from a number of students who could not make the event.
