Seven houses in Clonmel were broken into one evening last week.
The spate of burglaries occurred between 7 and 10pm on the evening of Tuesday, February 18.
The houses were broken into in Prior Park Hill, Griffith Avenue, Bianconi Drive, St. Oliver Plunkett Terrace, Honeyview Estate and College Avenue.
The raiders entered the houses by forcing open windows and doors.
Small amounts of cash and small amounts of property were stolen from the houses.
Some of the houses were ransacked.
The burglaries are being investigated by Gardai in the town, who want to hear from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious that evening.
They may be contacted on 052-6122222.
Meanwhile, an attempt was made to break into a business premises in Thomas Street, Clonmel in the early hours of last Thursday morning, February 20.
The raiders fled when the alarm was activated and the Gardai and security went to the scene.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the HSE has had to postpone the rest of this week’s nationwide “listening” mental health meetings - including a meeting scheduled for Mulcahy’s, Clonmel on Friday night, February 28 - which were organised to hear directly from people who have experience of the mental health services, their family, friends and/or carers or anybody who has an interest in this area.
The meetings will be re-arranged and the new dates will be announced by the HSE in due course.
